Visit Our Showroom in Costa Rica (English Information)

Catalogs and digital samples don’t communicate what flooring and decking materials really look and feel like when installed. The texture of a TimberTech Vintage board under your hand, how Parador Modular One reads in natural light, the comfort underfoot of Loom+ hybrid carpet tiles, the visual presence of a custom aluminum pergola — these are experiences that require physical evaluation in real conditions.

Our showroom in Costa Rica is built specifically to let clients evaluate materials before specification. This page covers what’s installed at the showroom, what to expect on a visit, how to plan your time, and how international clients can coordinate showroom visits with travel schedules.

Why Showroom Visits Matter More Than Catalogs

Color and Texture Read Differently in Installed Format

A 10×10 cm sample of a TimberTech Vintage board shows one perspective of the material. A 30 m² installation shows how the same material reads when surrounding light, adjacent materials, and the scale of architectural space all interact with the surface. Many clients change their material preference after seeing installations in showroom format.

Natural Light Changes Material Perception

The same color shows different undertones at morning, midday, and afternoon light. Costa Rican light specifically — with its intense UV content and warm color temperature — affects material perception in ways that catalogs photographed in studio lighting cannot communicate.

Adjacency Matters

How TimberTech decking transitions to interior Parador flooring, how a glass railing reads against the chosen deck color, how a pergola’s powder-coat color interacts with the surrounding architecture — these adjacency relationships are visible only when materials are installed adjacent to each other.

Tactile Quality

The surface texture of premium materials is part of what justifies their specification. Walking on Loom+ hybrid carpet tile, running a hand along TimberTech Vintage’s grain texture, feeling the weight and stability of a Parador Modular One Hydron plank — these experiences inform specification decisions in ways that descriptions cannot.

What’s Installed at Our Showroom

TimberTech Decking Installations

Live installations of TimberTech Advanced Polymer (Vintage Collection) in the main color options: French White Oak, American Walnut, Mahogany. Installed with proper CONCEALoc concealed fastening, aluminum substructure, and representative trim details. Walk on the deck, sit at deck furniture, experience the temperature difference of CoolTouch technology in dark colors.

Adjacent installations of TimberTech composite collections (Reserve, Legacy) for direct comparison with Advanced Polymer.

Parador Flooring Installations

Multiple Parador Modular One Hydron color options installed across showroom spaces. See how warm tones differ from cool tones, how mid-tones disimulate use better than extremes, how the SurfaceONE™ anti-scratch treatment looks under various lighting.

Parador parquet samples for projects where real wood is the design priority.

Loom+ Hybrid Carpet Installations

Loom+ Melange color collection installed in suite-like spaces, allowing evaluation in context similar to bedroom or living room applications. Multiple tile formats (50×50, 25×100, 50×100) installed in patterned arrangements showing format flexibility.

Custom Pergolas

Aluminum pergolas in both fixed and bioclimatic configurations installed in outdoor showroom areas. Operate the bioclimatic louvers, see how light filters through different positions, experience the weather protection of full closure.

Glass Railings and Aluminum Balustrades

Different railing configurations installed around showroom outdoor spaces. Frameless glass, framed glass, aluminum picket — see how each reads visually and feel the quality of the hardware finishes.

Color Samples and Reference Library

Full color sample libraries for all product lines we distribute, organized for comparison and coordination with other materials. Including color samples that may not be currently installed in showroom format.

How to Plan Your Showroom Visit

Schedule an Appointment

We work by appointment to ensure that someone from our team can guide your visit and answer specific questions about your project. Walk-in visits are accommodated when possible but may not include guided coverage of specific products relevant to your project.

To schedule, contact us with:

  • Your preferred visit date and approximate time
  • The project context (residential, hospitality, commercial; location in Costa Rica)
  • Specific products you want to evaluate
  • Any other questions to prepare for the visit

Plan 30-60 Minutes for Most Visits

A typical project-oriented showroom visit takes 30-60 minutes — covering the relevant products, discussing project specifications, and evaluating colors and finishes against your project requirements. Comprehensive visits for clients evaluating the full product portfolio across multiple categories can extend up to 2 hours.

Bring Project Information

If you have project documentation, bring it:

  • Architectural plans or sketches (even rough hand drawings)
  • Photographs of the project space
  • Reference images of design styles you’re working toward
  • Samples or photographs of other materials in the project (cabinetry, wall finishes, lighting)
  • Approximate dimensions of areas requiring our materials

This information helps us focus the visit on products relevant to your specific project rather than the entire portfolio.

English-Speaking Guides Available

Our team includes English-speaking project specialists. When you schedule, request English-speaking guide if needed. We work regularly with international clients and the technical vocabulary translates well to English engineering and architectural conversation.

Showroom Visits for International Clients

Visiting from the United States, Canada, Europe

For international clients evaluating Costa Rican properties or planning projects, showroom visits often coordinate with property visits in the country. We accommodate schedules that fit around your travel — early morning or evening appointments when needed, coordination with property visits in San José or coastal locations.

For clients staying in San José or accessible from the Central Valley, the showroom visit is typically a half-day commitment including travel. For clients staying at coastal properties, we can coordinate showroom visits during San José days or, alternatively, arrange site visits at coastal locations with samples.

Virtual Showroom Tours

For international clients who can’t visit in person at the project planning stage, we offer video walkthrough sessions. Using high-quality video calls, we walk through showroom installations, show specific materials of interest, and answer questions in real-time.

Video sessions don’t replace physical evaluation entirely but allow project specification to advance while you plan a future in-person visit closer to construction.

Sample Shipment

Material samples can be shipped to your home country for evaluation. Standard samples ship within a week of request and arrive at typical international shipping times. Custom sample requests for specific colors or special products may have longer lead times.

Showroom Visits for Architects and Designers

For architects, interior designers, and specifiers, showroom visits typically serve different objectives than property owner visits:

  • Build familiarity with product portfolio for ongoing specification
  • Validate specific product selections for current projects
  • Reference for design development presentations to your clients
  • Technical discussion of specification details, substructure compatibility, integration with other materials

We can arrange dedicated time for architectural professional visits, including technical documentation review and detailed specification discussion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the showrooms located?

We have two showroom locations in the San José metropolitan area:

Both locations have dedicated parking for visiting clients. You can visit either one — both showrooms have the full product portfolio installed.

What are the showroom hours?

Tech Deck Escazú (Plaza Florencia):

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Tech Deck San Pedro (Los Yoses, across from Automercado):

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

For international clients, we accommodate appointment times that suit your travel schedule.

Is parking available?

Yes — our showroom has dedicated parking for visiting clients.

Can I bring my architect or contractor to the visit?

Absolutely. Many of our most productive showroom visits include the property owner plus their architect or general contractor, allowing real-time discussion of specifications and project coordination.

What if I’m not ready to specify materials yet?

Early-stage visits are valuable. Even at the conceptual design phase, seeing what’s available informs the design direction and helps avoid specifying materials that don’t actually meet the project requirements. We don’t require clients to be ready to purchase to schedule a visit.

Can I take samples home from the visit?

Yes — we provide material samples for evaluation in your project’s actual conditions. Color samples, texture samples, and small material pieces are available to take home for review in your project’s lighting.

Is there anywhere to discuss the project in detail?

Yes — our showroom includes a meeting space for project discussions, plan reviews, and detailed specification conversations. For project planning meetings beyond the material review, we can arrange dedicated time in the meeting space.

Schedule Your Visit

To schedule a showroom visit, email us directly at ventas@techdeckcr.com or reach us through our contact page. Include your preferred date, project context, and any specific products you want to evaluate.

For international clients, scheduling typically requires a few days advance to ensure the appropriate team member is available to guide your visit. For clients in Costa Rica, we typically accommodate visits within the same week.

We look forward to showing you what these materials look like when properly installed and how they would work in your specific project.
